Quality Policy & Testing

How Jhih Cheng controls consistency across 20 stitch-bonding lines — from certification to batch-level inspection.

Quality Policy

Jhih Cheng Non-Woven has operated in Danshui, New Taipei for 31 years, currently employing 50 people across a facility with annual output capacity of 500–2,000 tons. Our quality policy is built on a simple principle: every roll leaving our plant must match the specification agreed with the buyer, batch after batch, with documentation to prove it.

We do not treat quality as a final inspection step. It is built into raw material selection, line setup on our 20 Karl Mayer Maliwatt stitch-bonding machines, and post-treatment processing (acrylic hardening, flame-retardant, water-repellent finishes). This approach lets us support both technical buyers who need consistent performance data and cost-driven buyers who need stable, repeatable supply without surprises.

Certifications We Hold

We maintain four core certifications that buyers can independently verify. We do not claim certifications we do not hold.

CertificationWhat It Covers
ISO 9001Company-wide quality management system
IATF 16949:2016Automotive-grade quality management, relevant for buyers sourcing seat, sound insulation, and filtration substrates for vehicle interiors
GRS (Global Recycled Standard)Chain-of-custody verification for recycled fiber content, relevant for buyers with sustainability or brand-reporting requirements
D-U-N-S NumberRegistered corporate identity for buyer due diligence and vendor onboarding

Process & Batch Consistency Control

Our core process — continuous stitch-bonded nonwoven production — runs on 20 dedicated lines, which is the largest stitch-bonding capacity we are aware of in the Taiwan market. This scale allows us to dedicate line time to specific weight and fiber-blend combinations rather than constantly reconfiguring shared equipment, which reduces run-to-run variation.

We supplement in-house stitch-bonding with needle-punched, hydro-entangled (spunlace), and PP spunbond nonwovens supplied through partner production, plus lining fabrics. All formats are supplied in roll form for direct feed into converting lines. Every batch — whether produced in-house or through partner supply — goes through batch-to-baBatch consistency inspection before release, so buyers receive documented confirmation that the roll matches the approved reference sample.

Why Buyers Choose to Verify Us Directly

We supply converters directly rather than through multiple trading layers. This shortens the feedback loop when a buyer has a technical question about weight tolerance, fiber blend, or finishing performance — our engineering team can respond and trace the issue back to the specific line and batch, rather than routing questions through intermediaries.

  • Custom development available for basis weight, fiber blend ratio, and post-treatment combination
  • Batch-level traceability supports buyer-side incoming inspection and CPK/quality audits
  • Direct converter relationships mean technical questions are answered by the people who ran the batch, not a sales intermediary
